⚠️ 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗪𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗧: 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗬 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥
As temperatures continue to rise, we encourage everyone in our community to take sensible precautions and look after those who may be more vulnerable to the heat.
💧 Keep hydrated throughout the day and carry water with you when outdoors.
🧢 If you need to go outside, try to stay in the shade where possible and avoid unnecessary time in direct sunlight during peak afternoon hours.
👕 Choose light, loose-fitting clothing and avoid intense physical activity during the hottest part of the day.
🏡 Keep indoor spaces as cool as possible by limiting direct sunlight and ventilating your home during cooler periods.
Please take a moment to check on:
• Elderly family members and neighbours
• Young children and infants
• Those living alone
• Individuals with underlying health conditions
A simple visit, phone call, or message could make a significant difference.
Be alert for signs of heat-related illness, including:
• Headaches
• Dizziness
• Excessive thirst
• Nausea
• Muscle cramps
• Unusual fatigue
• A very high body temperature
If someone becomes unresponsive, collapses, experiences a seizure, or shows signs of heatstroke, call *999 immediately*.
Let us all do our part to support one another and ensure nobody is left struggling during this period of hot weather.
May Allah keep our community safe, healthy, and protected.
