RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL
SATURDAY, 20TH APRIL 2024
PASTOR CHRIS

THEME: HE DELIGHTS IN YOUR PROSPERITY

If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? (Luke 16:11).

There are Christians who make snide remarks when they hear the teachings on prosperity in Christ. Sometimes, they accuse preachers of focusing too much on money and the prosperity message. Ironically, the same individuals work tirelessly all day and all week for money. Some of them even resort to dishonest means to obtain it and often feel distressed when they lack it.

There's no better place to learn about financial prosperity than God's Word. The Lord delights in your prosperity. The Bible says in 3 John 1:2, "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."

It brings to mind the words of David in Psalm 35:27; he said, "...Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant." The Lord has pleasure in your prosperity. That should let you know that poverty, lack and want aren't the will of God for you.

2 Corinthians 9:8 (AMPC) says, "And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient (possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation]."

His will is for you to be in surplus, ever-prospering. Hallelujah! Read Psalm 1:1-3 (TPT); it says, "What delight comes to the one who follows God's ways...He will be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God's design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of life. He is never dry never fainting, ever blessed, ever prosperous."

In Christ, you're self-sufficient; you have whatever you require in abundance. Praise God!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for your grace at work in me for a life of superabundance, where I require no aid or support but furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation. Thank you for delighting in my prosperity, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

πŸ”΄The Bible is replete with accounts of men and women who achieved so much by adding patience to their faith; as did Abraham, Sarah, Joseph and Moses.

πŸ”΄Many are impatient because they really don't trust God, so they try to β€œhelp” Him bring His Word to pass quickly.

πŸ”΄Some have erred terribly in this regard, for example, King Saul; he was to wait for Samuel to come offer the sacrifice, in preparation for the war against the Philistines.

β€” Offering that sacrifice was exclusively the responsibility of Samuel the prophet; but when Samuel delayed, Saul couldn't wait, He went ahead and offered the sacrifice.

β€” Interestingly, he was still at it, when Samuel walked in.

β€” Samuel then said to him, β€œThou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever. But now thy kingdom shall not continue...” (1 Samuel 13:13-14).

β€” God had made a promise to Saul that his dynasty would be forever, but Saul lost it.

β€” His demonstration of impatience cost him and his lineage the kingship.

πŸ”΄Many still make similar mistakes today.

πŸ”΄Some people want to make major decisions, and instead of them to stay on the Word, which is divine counsel, direction, or guidance, they go ahead and do what's on their minds, saying they prayed about it.

πŸ”΄In your walk with the Lord, trust Him, and be patient.

πŸ”΄If you're looking to Him for a miracle, trust Him, knowing that He never fails, and His timing is always perfect.

πŸ”΄James 1:4 says, β€œBut let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”

πŸ”΄Hebrews 10:35-36 says, β€œCast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.”

πŸ”΄You need patience for a balanced, successful and stable Christian life.
