Evening Prayer
Into thy hands, Mary, I commend my body and my soul, I ask thee to provide for them and to protect them. I ask thee to protect them from the evil one. I ask thee enlighten my mind, strengthen my will, and refrain my appetites by grace. Our Lady and St. Michael, call down from Heaven the legions of angels under your command to protect me; I ask of thee all the things I ask of my Guardian Angel. My Guardian angel, under thy intellectual and volitional protection I place my body. I ask thee to illumine my mind and refrain my appetites. I ask thee to strengthen my cogitative power, my memory and my imagination. Help me to remember the things I should and not remember the things I should not. Help me to associate the things I should and not to associate the things I should not. Give me good clear images in my imagination. I ask thee to drive away all the demons that might affect me while I sleep (or throughout the course of the day). (Help me to sleep and, if thou should deem it prudent, direct my dreams. Help me to arise refreshed). Amen.

Sunday prayer to be Christian and know it.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, we pray that your will, is done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Holy one, you have provided a way for us to be saved from judgement. That way is for us to believe in Jesus, believe he is who he said he is, “The Son of God”, (your son). His sacrifice and death on the cross paid for our sin, and set our spirit free. Father, we believe that Jesus’ life death and resurrection, is the ultimate proof of your love for us. As a result we will not be judged, in the same way some others may be judged. We are your children who believe and follow Jesus. We are saved. Father on the day of judgement Jesus said we will be separated from those who would not listen. Separated by him, as the shepherd separates the goats from the sheep. Jesus’ sacrifice and our faith is good enough, for everlasting life (we have been redeemed), and his blood, settled any debt that we owed. Father, you give us the opportunity through free will to be holy in Jesus, you have set us apart and now you call us to make choices that will tell the world who we are, we are free to believe in Christ but even if we do how would the world know we are Christian?

Father, this freedom to choose like all freedom comes with a price, if we choose to follow Jesus,we too must put aside our pride and make sacrifices for others, by trying to imitate him we obey you. Father, John tells us in his gospel that we must love one another as you love us. (1 John 3:16-24), “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts.

Heavenly Father, as I wake to embrace this new day, I seek your divine protection to cloak me and my loved ones in your loving care. Guide our steps and shield us from harm as we journey through this day. Amen.

Lord, in the stillness of this morning, I turn to you for guidance and protection. Be our fortress in times of trouble and our refuge in moments of uncertainty. Grant us strength to face the day ahead, knowing that you are with us always. Amen.

Gracious God, as the sun rises, I lift my heart to you in prayer. Surround me with your protective love and lead me along paths of righteousness. Guard my thoughts, words, and actions, and grant me wisdom to discern your will in all things. Amen.

Dear Lord, as I begin this day, I place myself and my loved ones under your protective wings. Guide us away from danger and lead us towards opportunities to spread your light and love. May your presence be our constant companion as we navigate the challenges of today. Amen.

Loving God, I thank you for the gift of another morning. I surrender this day into your hands and ask for your divine protection to encompass me and those dear to me. Guide us with your wisdom, guard us with your strength, and fill us with your peace. In your mercy, hear our prayers. Amen.
