KNOWING WHOM YOU ARE AND WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU (Prt. 2)

There is always report about your way of life. The sons of Bilhah and Zilpah were not aware that there were reports going on against them. The same way so many ignorant and careless Christians are not aware that there are several reports going on about their conducts (Rev. 20:1-15). The reward you get at the appointed time would be as a result of your activities both while you were alone and with people.

You would discover that Joseph was so loved by his father, not just because of his position according to birth. You would agree with me that if Joseph had joined others to behave differently from the expectation of his father, his father would not have been so proud of him. Therefore, it can be said that he attracted for himself more love and favour from his father because of his ability to understand whom he was and what was expected of him as a son of his father.

What about you? Have you realised whom you are according to God’s plan and what is expected of you according to His purpose? This is very important because therein lies the secret of your Lifting, and Outstanding Favour from God at due time.

Remain Blessed as you continue in God's Divine Presence.

KNOWING WHOM YOU ARE AND WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU (Prt. 1)

In the Bible Gen. 37:1-3 we read that Joseph grew up in the midst of the sons of Bilhah and Zilpah. Though he was just 17 years old, he did not allow himself to be negatively influenced by the activities and lifestyles of those around him who had bad Reports. It takes a great deal of Understanding and Conviction of whom you are and what is expected of you to remain both unique and steadfast on your belief.

The Reasons Fall/Backslide:
What do you really think is the reason people often derail from their original belief and doctrine? Well, there are several factors which include the following: 1. Lack of proper understanding of whom and what God has made them to be and how to please God and remain His beloved,
2. Lack of discipline,
3. Wrong Advice and
4. Negative influence from friends, neighbours, mates, colleagues and close associates.

A Platform to Prove Whom You Are:
It is very important for you to carefully choose who becomes your friend and who you discuss and reveal vital information concerning your life to.

However, you cannot completely isolate yourself from several people that have different belief, doctrine and understanding from yours. You will often find yourself in the midst of people with different backgrounds and lifestyles. But finding yourself in such a situation should never be an excuse to let down your guard as a Christian. In fact it should be seen as an opportunity to prove whom you are. It should be seen as an avenue to exhibit the uncommon characteristics that prove that you are a Child of the Most High, Holy and Righteous God.

The Ability to Detect & Discipline to Avoid:
The little Joseph found himself in a similar situation. His parents were not there, no teacher nor instructor was there. Nobody was there to caution him but he was able to detect that something was wrong and strange in the behaviour and lifestyles of those around him.

It is important to note that being able to detect wrong habit, behaviour, character and lifestyle in the lives of people around you is one thing BUT the ability and discipline to avoid being influenced by them is another. Joseph was able to prove himself in this aspect and stood out with good report.
