and the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
Contrary to popular beliefs, trends, and opinions, marriage is for men. God said it is not beneficial for a man to be alone (Genesis 2:18), and He made a help meet for him. 'Help meet' does not mean helper. It means a missing puzzle piece that, when found, completes the puzzle. It is important to note that man did not know he was alone; he was not aware that a piece was missing. It was God who made that determination. Therefore, marriage is not because you are alone but because God says you are alone.
Marriage is a program God designed to supply what He could not provide. It was a solution for man's aloneness. Although Adam communed with God daily, the man was still alone, which God said was not good. He then fixed the problem of Adam's aloneness with a solution that was and is not Him: a woman. God did not reach inside Himself to pull the woman out. Instead, He took a rib from inside Adam. The woman was made for the man, created specifically for the man, and brought to the man. There is no marriage without a man and a woman, and to those who beg to differ, I have only one response: "shut up, the Bible is talking!"
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I submit my life to the authority of God’s Word; therefore, my marriage will be sweet. I will not fail in my relationships. I decree and declare my marriage is sanctified in Jesus’ mighty Name!
