Continuing our series in Acts, we’ve come to chapter 6, where a dispute breaks out between the Hellenistic Jews and the Hebraic Jews. The Hellenistic Jews — Greek-speaking Jews from outside Jerusalem — felt their widows were being overlooked in the daily support and food distribution.
The apostles dealt with it quickly by appointing seven godly men to oversee the need. But far from stopping the church, this moment actually helped it grow even more. The gospel kept spreading and the number of disciples multiplied. Nothing can stop the Word of God!
