This is the home page for the Church in Wales in North Gower - St Rhydian and St Illtyds, St David's, St Gwynour's, St Cenydd's, St Madoc's and St Cadoc's, and the ruined site of St Elen's. The churches of the North Gower Estuary, the People of the Marsh, are St Rhydian and St Illtyd's ’s in Llanrhidian, St David’s at Wernffrwd, St Gwynours up on the Llanyrnewydd Estate above Penclawdd, St Cenydd'
s at Llangenith, St Madoc's at Llanmadoc and St Cadic's at Cheriton. We are conscious of our Ancient Celtic heritage and of the “thin place” in which we live and serve. The spirituality of North Gower is deep and contemplative and our worship reflects a stripped down connectedness with Creation and the Creator. Celtic Christianity is experiential and it has little need or desire for formulaic or line-drawn maps of religious description. Celtic pipes and flutes are best played when the music is sensed by the spirit and learned by ear. Celtic music comes from the heart and the soul of human being. Christ is not just some character in a book or historical messiah we worship in memory. Christ lives in each breath we breathe, in the face of the people we meet and share our lives with, in the animals, the birds and the trees. He is in the wind and the sky and the sea. There is nowhere that Christ is not. We experience Christ and we seek to bring others to know him, to stop and become conscious. When we become conscious we become aware that Christ is here and has been all the time, closer than our own breath. And he will not leave us, ever. Come and be with us a while. Travel with us in faith. There is a freedom here and we welcome you in the Name of Christ. Peace be with you. Fr Tim Ardouin (Didji Gymru)
