Calfaria Baptist Church, Llangeinor. Ministering to the people of the Garw valley from our centre in Llangeinor. Without Him life is meaningless and we face a bleak eternity.

Our church life is based on the conviction that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came into the world to rescue people of every background and bring forgiveness and new life. We believe Christ died and rose again for us, and is the one Person who is totally worthy of our admiration and life-long devotion. Everything we do is based around expressing love to Him and bringing glory to His name. With Him,

there is strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow. In a typical year we begin each week with worship on Sunday at 10.30am and 6pm, and aim to praise God and learn how to serve Him and care for the people and the world He has made. We can't demonstrate God's love effectively without knowing people, so our church has been active in the community, supporting the work of a Wales government initiative called Communities First. We may also celebrate weddings, help with funerals, and whenever there is a project in the village to improve the environment many of our folk have been at the heart of the practical work. We have a task force that helps elderly and disabled folk with their gardening. Children and young people are a huge part of our ministry, and we have regular childrens and youth meetings. Many of the children of the local school attend and we often share joint celebrations with Tynyrheol at special seasonal occasions.
