As part of Volunteers' Week 2026, St Mary's Church in Mold held a thanksgiving service for their volunteers. Revd Martin Batchelor and Revd Emma Dale welcomed volunteers and volunteer organisations from across Mold to join them in an informal service celebrating volunteering. The event included brief talks from several volunteers about their projects and the positive effect that volunteering has on the community and themselves as individuals!
Earlier this week, Bishop Gregory issued a video message of thanks to all those who volunteer in our churches and communities. You can watch it again at https://dioceseofstasaph.org.uk/thank-you-to-all-those-who-serve-and-volunteer/

There are just a few days left to apply to be the next priest to serve the historic community of Hawarden, situated in north east Wales (5 miles from Chester and next to the unique Gladstone’s Library), together with the vibrant, growing communities of Broughton and Sealand with their beautifully re-ordered churches and welcome cafe space. This is a unique opportunity to lead three diverse churches, each with its own character and deep community roots.
