The Llanelli Choral Society and Hywel Girls’ Choir express their great sorrow at the passing of Christine Batsford, a lifelong, steadfast and committed chorister at many choirs in the locality. From her early choral roots at the Hywel Girls’ Choir to decades as a committed chorister at the Llanelli Choral Society and Cor Curiad, Christine’s reputation for commitment, passion and perfection as a chorister always preceded her. It would be rare not to see Christine and her mother Joan proudly present at concert stages in the locality.
We send Joan and her family and friends our deepest sympathy and blessings at this difficult time and hope that you will find strength from the love of all who knew Christine and the great pleasure and friendship she brought to fellow choristers and countless audiences.
