The Churchyard and Cemetery Working Party
And we are off! After the winter and some planning we now have a very motivated working party of 7/8 people who are turning up to clear, chip, strim and shovel. It’s a big job! But we have plans to tidy and to leave wild areas. Graves that have been left un-tended are getting some attention. We are chipping for Wales from all the cuttings and debris. We are moving unsightly piles of earth left by various undertakers. And excitingly we are making contact with several universities about the ‘Bronze Age’ mound.
The group has a Whatsapp and we would be really pleased for all to join. It is very informal. We turn up when we can and if something really interests you then get on and sort it! Together with the Community Council we are asking Wrexham Council to look at a problem with storm water gushing into he cemetery.

The ‘Mustard Seed’
Just to remind people that ‘yr hedyn Mwstard’, ‘The Mustard Seed’ community cafe is open from 10am to 3pm Thursday and Saturday. Tea/coffee, cakes, sandwiches, etc. If you know people who are visiting the area please give the cafe a mention. This is part of the Church's outreach and run by volunteers, if you would like to be involved even better!
Also ‘The Table’ meets at the Mustard Seed for food and fellowship at 5pm every Thursday - again, all welcome although it's best to check beforehand especially during school holidays. Contact Alison Bendall (07970 095538).
The site of the church has reputedly been a site of Christian worship since the 5th century. It may have been a holy site even before Christianity.
