Ladywell Baptist Church The church in the heart of your community

24/01/2026

Today we remember that the Church of Jesus Christ is spread across every nation — and so are the needs of children.

Millions of children around the world still do not have access to safe, quality education. Yet God cares deeply about every child, their future, and their opportunity to grow in wisdom and understanding.

We pray today for schools, teachers, and Christian ministries serving children in some of the hardest places in the world. May God provide resources, protection, and hope — and may education be a doorway to brighter futures and to knowing His love.

Let’s chat!

What has God been teaching you recently — big or small?

Maybe it’s something from a sermon, your Bible reading, a conversation, or just something God has been gently showing you in everyday life.

💥 BLAST needs YOU! 💥

Our Tuesday evening kids’ club, BLAST, is a place where children can have fun, make friends, and learn about Jesus in a safe and welcoming environment — and we’d love more people to be part of what God is doing there.

You don’t need to be a teacher or have all the answers — just a willing heart and a love for children. Whether it’s helping with games, chatting to kids, or supporting the team, every role makes a real difference.

BLAST runs on Tuesday evenings, and it’s a wonderful way to serve, grow, and invest in the next generation.

If you’d like to get involved, speak to Joel or send us a message — we’d love to hear from you!

In the busyness of life, we need regular moments to pause, refocus, and meet with God.
Our monthly evening service is part of that rhythm – a steady, intentional space to worship, pray, and be shaped together.

Not rushed. Not complicated.
Just a faithful rhythm of gathering as God’s people.

You are warmly invited to be part of it.

Logic isn’t about having all the answers – it’s about learning how to think clearly, carefully, and honestly.
When we use logic well, we ask better questions, listen more deeply, and seek truth with humility.

Jesus often asked questions that made people stop, think, and reflect.
As followers of Christ, we’re invited to love God not just with our hearts, but with our minds too.

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind.” (Luke 10:27)

I cannot give an answer;
But this I know with all my heart:
His wounds have paid my ransom."

Gold. Frankincense. Myrrh.
The gifts brought by the Magi were more than generous offerings – they pointed to who Jesus truly is.

Gold – for a King
Frankincense – for God, worthy of worship
Myrrh – foreshadowing sacrifice and suffering

At Epiphany, we remember that Jesus was revealed not just to a few, but to the whole world.
The Magi recognised Him and responded with worship. How will we respond to the revealed King today?
