There are weak moments in life, when we all feel depressed and fell all alone. But we should never forget that God is always with us. God is good in so many ways, and watches over us but it goes even deeper than that who is protecting us all the time. The fact that God is good means that He has no evil in Him, His intentions and motivations are always good, He always does what is right, and the outcome of His plan is always good.

Psalm 31:19–20
"How great is Your goodness, Which You have stored up for those who fear You, Which You have wrought for those who take refuge in You, Before the sons of men! You hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the conspiracies of man; You keep them secretly in a shelter from the strife of tongues."

One way to rejoice when you don’t feel like it is to think back on the times that you were waiting on other prayer requests or were in similar situations of distress, and how God provided when it didn’t look like anything would change. When you remember what occurred and how appreciative you were to God, this feeling should fill you with joy and tell you that God can do this again and again. He is a God who loves and cares for you.

Philippians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

The people to whom he prophesied did not listen, and he was ostracized and completely alone because of what God called him to do. He also lamented the consequences of their faithlessness. God allowed them to be conquered by the Babylonians, resulting in their entire world being laid to waste. But in the midst of that utter devastation, Jeremiah still offers them hope on the horizon: they are not completely destroyed because of the LORD’s compassion and faithfulness, and in the morning, after this “dark night of the soul,” things will be better. So whether we are at a place in our lives where everything is pretty ordinary, or whether we are in a period of grief: no matter what our circumstances, God never changes and is faithful to us, sustaining us in his compassion and faithfulness each and every day.

Lamentations 3:22-23 - It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed; His compassion do not fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.

We all face times of uncertainty and fear, but God has called us to rise above the hardship and find hope in Him. We all face hard times in our lives, whether it's something seemingly small like a stressful day at work or a more significant event like a troubling medical diagnosis or loss of a loved one. During these times, it can be hard to find the strength and courage to put on a brave face.

Deuteronomy 31:6
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

MORNING REFLECTION

Mga karwahe’t kawal ni Faraon, sa dagat ay kanyang itinapon, sa Dagat na P**a nailibing, mga pinunong Egipcio na pawang magagaling.

(Exodus 15:4)

Minsan dahil makapangyarihan sila at nakaka-intimidate, may evil leaders na parang mga bundok na hindi kayang buwagin. Katulad na lamang nina Benito Mussolini ng Italy at Adolf Hi**er ng Germany. Pero history tells us na may naging hangganan ang kanilang rule. Si Mussolini, habang tumatakas, ay nabaril at binitin nang patiwarik at si Hi**er naman ay nagtago sa bomb shelter at nagpakamatay. Kagaya na lamang ng mga officials ni Pharaoh na pawang magagaling, nang hinabol nila ang mga Hudyo, nilamon sila ng Red Sea. The fact is pansamantala ang kapangyarihan ng lahat ng leaders, righteous or not, sa lupa.

Pero ang Panginoong Jesus, walang katulad at walang hanggan ang pamamahala. He is the Eternal King. He was, is, and always will be! Hindi lang siya eternal, He is all-powerful. He has infinite power that brings so much good to mankind not only in this life but the life to come. And His power is greater than everyone else’s. Hindi lang Siya eternal and all-powerful but He is also all-loving and merciful. Hindi natin kailangang manginig sa takot kapag kaharap Siya. Handa Siyang tanggapin tayo maging sinuman tayo.

Ang mga hari sa lupa, kailangang presentable ka tuwing haharap ka sa kanila. Kailangan may appointment ka. Kung hindi ka pinapatawag, huwag kang haharap or else, baka may mangyari sa iyo. Si Lord, iba. Araw-araw, oras-oras, tinatawag tayo to come. Lumapit daw tayo sa Kanya at lalapit Siya sa atin (James 4:8). Lumapit daw tayo sa Kanya at handa Siyang magpatawad (Isaiah 1:18). Lumapit daw lahat ng nahihirapan at nabibigatan sa kanilang pasanin at bibigyan Niya sila ng kapahingahan (Matthew 11:28). And finally, ang Panginoong Jesus ay naparito, hindi upang paglingkuran, kundi upang maglingkod at ialay ang Kanyang buhay para sa atin.
Imbes na mag-worry dahil sa mga namamahala sa lupa, let’s focus on King Jesus. Is He your King? Siya lamang ang karapat-dapat na maghari sa ating puso.

Crown him with many crowns, The Lamb upon his throne; Hark! how the heav’nly anthem drowns All music but its own:
Awake, my soul, and sing Of him who died for thee, And hail him as thy matchless King
Thro’ all eternity.

LET’S PRAY:
Eternal King Jesus, tunay na wala Kang katulad. Salamat sa pangako na kapag lumapit ako sa Iyo, lalapit Ka sa akin nang may pagpapatawad. Mula ngayon, Ikaw na ang maghari sa puso ko at sa buhay ko.

In what ways do you experience Christ as King? How might the fact that Christ is King change the way you live each day? What aspects of the future kingdom do you long for today?

MORNING REFLECTION

VERSE:
“Ako nga ang mabuting pastol. Kung paanong kilala ako ng Ama at siya’y kilala ko, gayundin naman, kilala ko ang aking mga tupa at ako nama’y kilala nila. At iniaalay ko ang aking buhay para sa aking mga tupa.”

(JOHN 10:14–‬15)

Tuwing first day ng school, the teacher will introduce himself to the class to let them know that he’s in charge of the class, at siya’y maaring pagkatiwalaan sa mga lessons nila.

Tulad ng mga teacher, si Jesus ay mahusay ding nagpakilala ng Kanyang sarili sa atin. Sa book ng John mababasa ang mga “I AM” statements Niya.

Sa fourth I am statement ni Jesus, ipinakilala Niya ang Kanyang sarili bilang mabuting pastol. Marami Siyang ginagawa bilang ating pastol: Siya ang ating tagapagtanggol, gabay, at tagapangalaga.

Madalas ay akala natin na kayang-kaya nating patakbuhin ang sarili nating buhay, pero tulad ng tupa, tayo’y madalas maligaw at mapunta sa maling landas.

Jesus is the Good Shepherd who willingly sacrificed Himself to give us life, and have it to the full. Ganyan ang klase ng pagmamahal Niya sa atin.

Pinapastol Niya tayo ng may buong pusong pagmamahal. Hinahanap kapag naliligaw, inililigtas kapag nasa kapahamakan, dinidisiplina kapag matigas ang ulo, at higit sa lahat, minamahal na Niya tayo bago pa man tayo makinig sa Kanya.

We always want to have good things in our lives, but in all the good that we can have in this world, the only good we should look at is Jesus — the Good Shepherd.

Jesus’ identity as the Good Shepherd is the evidence that we can trust His integrity and His character. He is the Son of God, ang tanging daan, katotohanan, at ang buhay.

Anuman ang season ng buhay natin, nariyan ang mabuting pastol, patuloy na nagmamahal at tumutugon sa mga tumatawag sa Kanya.

LET’S PRAY:
Lord Jesus, help me fully know You as my Good Shepherd. Thank You for Your loving care, protection, and guidance.

APPLICATION
Research about Jesus’ character as the Good Shepherd and meditate on Psalm 23, the Shepherd’s psalm.

the Word of God is His bond. It means He will keep all His promises. It means that God will fulfill every prophecy He has made. A.W. Pink wrote, "He never forgets, never fails, never falters, never forfeits His word. To every declaration of promise or prophecy the Lord has exactly adhered, every engagement of covenant or threatening He will make good, for 'God is not man, that He should lie, or a son of man, that He should change His mind. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not fulfill it?' (Num. 23:19)"

No matter what's going on in your life right now - stress, health problems, finances that have you in a vice, desperately wishing you had never married, desperately wanting to get married, children who have set an ache in your soul, the death of someone you love - whatever pain you are in, God's steadfast love for you will never, ever end. Every day, He has brand new supplies of mercy. There is a dawn that is coming after the night. And it is all captured in the sentence, "God is faithful."

Deuteronomy 7:9

"Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments."

If we think of the Bible as a mysterious book that’s difficult to understand, we won’t value it much and will read it even less. But if we see it as a priceless treasure, we’ll dive into often and reap it’s amazing benefits.
