Today marks 168 years since the first apparition of Our Lady to Bernadette Soubirous who was just 14 at the time.

This reminds us that age doesn't limit your impact - a very important message for our youth to remember 💛📿

A great turn out for Coach 2 last night at Youth Alive (sorry that some missed the photo). Lovely to see faces from last year and meet some of our newbies! 💛💛

4 years ago, after the pandemic, coach 2 only consisted of 6 young people!! We feel proud to see the coach grow so much and thrive!

Today Coach 2 were invited to attend celebrations at St Albert the Great Church on their feast day. They celebrated by hosting a culture mass followed by food, music and dancing which showcased the diversity of the parish. Last summer two of the girls from this parish joined us on Coach 2 and we are delighted that next year there will be 8 young people from this parish on the coach! Thankyou to Fr Dave for the hospitality, it was so special to be present today.

This morning we were at St St. Mary Mother of God , Kirkby - simply to say Thank you.

For 37 years, coach 2 and the Kirkby coach, which is made up of many parishioners from this parish have had a strong connection. The friendship and collaboration between our two groups is special and the support that comes from this parish has been unwaivering.

Because of their generosity and dedication to fundraising so many young people from the Knowsley area have been able to go to Lourdes, deepen their faith and experience the joy and friendships that Lourdes brings.

Last summer we were joined by wonderful sisters, Emily and Haylla from this parish and we are delighted that they will be joining us again next summer.

The spirit of generosity and community that this parish shows is a true example of faith in action and we are so lucky that we get to witness first hand the real difference it makes in the lives of young people.

We were deeply moved today to see that generosity once again as we received a large donation from the Ross family. Mary Ross, who was a loved member of our Lourdes family, sadly passed away last month and in lieu of flowers her family decided to honour Mary by helping more young people from Knowsley travel to Lourdes. Mary celebrated her 90th Birthday when in Lourdes with a coach 2 in 2023 - her kindness and joyful spirit will continue to inspire us as we prepare for our 2026 pilgrimage.

So on behalf of everyone on Coach 2, and all the young people you've helped over the years - thankyou.

As we look ahead to our 2026 pilgrimage we look forward to seeing our Kirkby friends and please know that when we are there we will be keeping the whole parish community, especially the Ross', very much in our prayers. 💛

Today we visited the Parishes of St Agnes and St Aidan
We are always blown away by the strong sense of community at this parish and the warm welcome we always receive.
It was lovely to speak to so many about Lourdes and join everyone for refreshments after Mass 💛

Hello Yellow 💛👋🏻

Today is world mental health Day and I couldn't think of anything better to wear to support the Young Minds campaign, showing young people they aren't alone with their mental health.

One of our youth said to me this year: 'Lourdes is a time where I can unapologetically be myself and share that with others.'

I loved hearing that - that our young people feel so safe and supported to allow themselves to just be them - unfiltered.

One of the biggest privileges in our staff role in Lourdes is being able to provide support and comfort to our young people.

I am, today holding all the youth, past and present, that we have had the honour or working with close to my heart. Whether you are actively part of our coach 2 family or not, you are still important to us and we are always here 💛

We have had a lovely morning at St Albert The Great RC Parish Stockbridge Village 💛 such a warm welcoming parish that we always feel is full of joy!

Dave and two of the girls from the parish, that joined us on Coach 2 this year, spoke to everyone about Lourdes and we were delighted to stay behind after mass and have 7 young people and their families telling us that they will be signing up to join our coach 2 family in 2026.

Big thanks to Gabriel and Ada who were great helpers today 💛💛

Thankyou to the Parish of St Luke the Evangelist & St Leo's, Whiston, Prescot for having me at both masses this morning. It was an honor to talk to everyone at St Luke's and then at St Leo's about the Youth Pilgrimage to Lourdes.

It was great to meet families after both masses that were keen to join us on Coach 2 next year. 💛⛪

Tomorrow we will be talking all about Lourdes at the Parish of St Luke the Evangelist & St Leo's, Whiston, Prescot . We will be at St Luke's 9am mass and St Leo's 11am mass.

Mollie is feeling very excited due to a historic connection with the parish. Her parents got married at St Luke's in 1986 and it is where her Grandad faithfully served as a Deacon.

We would love to encourage more youth from the Whiston area to join our Coach 2 family. Hope to see you there tomorrow ⛪💛
