Hello everyone.
Sorry that's it been such a long time since you've heard from the Cathedral. It's been a time of review, refreshing and discernment. The sense after all the discussions in the spring and summer was that the season for Zone 2 had come to an end, and we rightly give thanks for the huge amount of fruitfulness that we have seen over the last decade from Zone 2. Looking ahead, we are planning to start something new, gently in these uncertain post-Covid times, and which is clearly linked to outreach. We are calling it Up-In-Out and it is what it says on the tin!
From this Sunday (24th October) and then weekly, we will gather at 9.30am onwards for coffee, tea and biscuits in the Radcliffe Learning Centre in Liverpool Cathedral (above the red telephone box) and have some time looking up and looking in (worship, Bible teaching and prayer), all in a very informal cafe-style way. Around 10.30am, we will encourage eveyrone who can and is willing to join us in reaching out to the many visitors who come into the Cathedral during the 10.30am service in the Main Space, and inviting them to learn more about the gospel story that morning. There will be the opportuntity to pray and chat, in a very accessible and non-pressurised way. This is something we've never done before! So we going to see how it goes! This is the 'Out' bit of the morning.
Any questions, then please do send a private message or reply to this poast. Even if you cannot join us, or have found a spiritual home in another church, please do pray for Up-In-Out. Thank you.
