On this the feast day of St Columba, we pray for the life and work of the parish!

Almighty God,
who filled the heart of your abbot Saint Columba
with the joy of the Holy Spirit
and with deep love for those in his care,
grant, by his intercession,
that your pilgrim people may follow him,
strong in faith, sustained by hope
and one in the love that binds us to you.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever. Amen

The next Children Youth and Family Ministry Development day for clergy and lay leaders will soon be upon us. A particular focus will be on First Communion and Confirmation preparation, but experience tells us that conversation often takes us to other pressing issues too.

These days work best when we have people with a variety of experiences enabling and encouraging one another.
Please do come - we would love to see you there. It's free and help can be given towards travel costs if necessary.

Prayers are offered for the parish at the National Pilgrimage at the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham.
