It was a joy to see Lucas baptised on Easter Sunday!

Lucas’ Story:

I was faced with tragedy at a young age, losing both my parents before I was 13. Bullying and verbal abuse, as well as being diagnosed with autism, led me down a dangerous path of stealing, lying and violence, eventually leading me into years of depression and a feeling of directionlessness. It all culminated on Christmas Day 2025, when my feelings of loathing and hate towards everything reached a breaking point. I felt as if everything was against me, my luck, my family, even God himself.

But it was in that moment of doubt where he showed himself. A seemingly random idea to read the Bible turned into my first prayer. And my first prayer turned into my first church visit. All fueled by this new feeling of having someone by my side. Someone there to pat me on the back and tell me everything is okay.

The Lord has paid the price for my sins and cast away my past so that it may not affect me anymore. So, for that, as well as him bringing me into this wonderful community, I can say with full certainty that Jesus Christ is Lord of my life.
