This coming Sunday is our Harvest Festival Service at Smithy Bridge Methodist Church. All are welcome. If you would like to bring a donation of food for Rochdale Foodbank, we will be collecting these as part of the service.
Following the service there will be a bring and share lunch and you would be very welcome to join us.

As we mark Homelessness Sunday today, we share this prayer of lament, for everyone facing the crisis of homelessness, unfit housing and insecure tenancy.

God loves you unconditionally, no strings attached. That's good news.

It is that time of year when we are asking for any knitters or crocheters to get involved and help us make hundreds of knitted angels so that we can tag them with little messages of hope and encouragement to send out all over Smithy Bridge village this Christmas once again.

If you already have a pattern then that's great but if you need one, we have them available in the Bridge Centre cafe or, you can email [email protected] and we can arrange to email you a pattern across.

Well, in the first week of advertising, we have sold over a third of the tickets for this year's annual fashion show and it's not even the end of September! They are going quick!

Come along and support us as we raise money for Springhill Hospice this year in memory of Sally, who was one of our Bridge Centre volunteers and a member of Smithy Bridge Methodist Church.

Saturday 21st November is going to be a great night. We already have lots of brand new clothes, which our many willing volunteers are getting prepared to model for you, as well as bags, shoes and other items for sale too.

Mulled w**e and minced pies served and all part of your ticket price. Tickets are £4 each.

Communities across Nepal and Tibet are facing devastating loss following floods triggered by a glacier collapse in the Himalayan border region.
