From seeds planted in January, to beautiful plants ready to take their place in your garden, we're almost ready for Plant Sale 2026.

Here's a memory of last year. There will be hundreds of plants from aquilegia to zinnia, alongside annuals, vegetable plants and house plants too.

The rain has been very welcome after the heatwave. With all the garden plants grown locally you can know they will be happy in local soil.

Don't forget to bring lots of cash (we can't accept card payments, sorry), and boxes or trays to take all your purchases away. We're open on Saturday 6th June, 10am to 12 noon. And every pound raised will support the wonderful Springhill Hospice.

A prayer for our volunteers.

Heavenly Father, we ask you to renew their strength each day. Grant the volunteers energy, wisdom and endurance to carry out every task faithfully. May your power flow through them so their service is a reflection of your love. Amen

Did you know that we have over 30 volunteers working at The Bridge Centre?
This week is National Volunteer's Week and we want to thank and celebrate the Bridge Centre volunteer team. Without them we could not open the doors. They all give up their time, often more than once a week, and work together as a great team of people ensuring both the cafe and the shop can open. We have lots of fun together as well as working hard.
This week, maybe call in and tell the volunteers how much you appreciate them too.
It might be that you would love to get involved, to feel part of a team all working together, if so call in and ask for an application pack, as we have just the role for you!

Five more days until Plant Sale. We open the doors at 10am sharp and we're selling until 12 noon! Please remember that we can only take cash payments.

The sunshine has been very welcome, but the rain even more so. There will be lots of choice of perennials, annuals, house plants and vegetable plants. Whether your garden in shady or sunny, wet or dry we will have something to suit.

And it's all in aid of Springhill Hospice. Hope to see you there!

With food prices rising, this could be a great time to start growing your own. At the Plant Sale on Saturday 6th June we will have a range of fruit and vegetable plants on sale - from peas, beans, and tomatoes, to cucumbers, courgettes, broccoli and pumpkins. Get fruity with strawberries, gooseberries and currant bushes.

"They taste so much better when you've grown them yourself!"

Ten days until Plant Sale, so here are ten beautiful plants enjoying the sunshine (but looking forward to some rain 🙏).

Not all of these will be available on the day, but many more beautiful varieties will be. House plants, bedding plants and a range of veggies so you can soon be growing your own.

Holy Spirit come again this Pentecost:
Out of the depth we call.
Cut through the noise to still our souls and warm our hearts.
Open our ears to hear and understand.
Give us to unhurried work as those assured by grace.
Holy Spirit come again this Pentecost:
Out of the depth we call.
Prevent us from harm, raise our hope, comfort our lament.
Persist in us as conscience, care and love.
As you awoke our brother John, awaken us: from his Aldersgate into our own.
Amen.

Sixteen days to PLANT SALE. We'll probably have almost that many varieties of geranium on sale!

Whites, blues, pinks and purples, there is an abundance of choice for your gardens. Geraniums are hardy plants that will thrive in any Littleborough or Rochdale soil. They will grow well in almost any conditions, and come back every year. Some like shade, others love full sun.

The hardest job is deciding which variety you will buy. (Please note, we might not have all the varieties pictured)

Just a reminder, Saturday 6th June, 10am to 12 noon at the church in Smithy Bridge. Help us raise lots of money for Springhill Hospice. Hope to see you there!
