You may remember Mary Mohammadi, whose story we shared five years ago. Mary is an Iranian human rights advocate and a convert from Islam who has been arrested many times for protesting against the government in Iran.

Earlier this year, while travelling, Mary suddenly disappeared. Her family state that they had been in regular contact with her before communication was abruptly cut off at the end of February. Amnesty International reports that Mary was detained in Ahvaz and moved to an unknown location at the start of April.

Please pray for our sister, that she would know the Lord's presence with her and soon be freed. Pray that her whereabouts would be quickly revealed and her family comforted.

Free entry, with a suggested donation of £10 for the charity Joy of Learning, which supports children's education in Uganda.

Please pray – Bahar Sahraian, a lawyer known for defending Iranian Christians, political prisoners and members of religious and ethnic minorities, has been arrested in Shiraz, Iran. She has since been transferred to Adilabad Prison, which is notorious for its harsh treatment and conditions.

Sahraian has been an empowering voice for persecuted Christians in Iran. Her arrest sends a painful message to the community of believers – that voices of justice, especially those advocating for Christians, are continuing to be silenced.

Please pray for Sahraian and her protection in an infamously intimidating and abusive environment. Pray that the Lord would protect her, draw her to Himself and bring about swift justice for all those suffering mistreatment by the authorities in Iran.

The Alpha UK team serves and supports the UK church, helping make Alpha as widely available and effective as possible across a wide range of contexts. This role will help lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of our marketing projects and campaigns.

We’re open to applications from anywhere in the UK, although the role will require occasional travel to London.
