This morning the planters were topped up with fresh compost and new flowers planted!! It is refreshing to see the community doing their bits as a result of the Hall Committee's initiative several years ago and would like to thank the local residents who filled the planters at Peel Gardens and LOL72 who have been out cutting overgrown grass and cleaning signs etc over the last few weeks. It would also be greatly appreciated if the community could help with watering the planters over the coming months especially those sheltered from the rain.

Ballinderry War Memorial Hall – D-Day 82nd Anniversary

Today, we pause to remember the courage, sacrifice, and determination of the Allied forces who landed on the beaches of Normandy on 6 June 1944 during the D-Day.

On this 82nd Anniversary of D-Day, Ballinderry War Memorial Hall honours the servicemen and women who fought for freedom and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Their bravery changed the course of history and secured the liberties that we enjoy today.

As we remember the heroes of D-Day, we also reflect on the immense cost of war and the importance of preserving peace, freedom, and democracy for future generations.

“We will remember them.”

Local cycling club VC Glendale are pleased to be hosting the Glendale Grand Prix on the 7th June at the Ballinderry Circuit. There will be a day of colourful and fast racing featuring the very best of local talent – in the morning we will have youth racing featuring U12 up to U16 riders and in the afternoon senior racing. Why not come out and watch the peleton zoom by - all roads remain open and we will have plenty of marshalls on duty during the day. All car parking will be to the rear of the filling station so there will be minimum disruption to local residents – we hope you enjoy the event and many thanks for the use of the Memorial Hall.

Well done to all involved. 👏👏👏👏👏 Thank-you
