Easter Sunday // Ask that God would enable us to experience afresh as we worship the wonder of his love for us in Jesus and the resurrection power that makes us more than conquerors over all that stands against us in our lives.

Romans 6:9 // We know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.

Moderator’s Easter Message // 2026

In his Easter Message, PCI Moderator, Right Reverend Dr Richard Murray, reflects on a truism that he heard at a recent funeral he attended "no one gets out it alive".

The expression caught his attention...
"In a world where no one gets out of alive, there is only one individual who has bucked the trend, and who consequently has the qualification to offer life. That man is the Lord Jesus Christ and those who know him as their own personal Saviour have a hope that sustains them in this life and in death,” Dr Murray writes in his Easter Message.

“When the angels moved the stone, it was not to let the Lord out, but to let us look in and see the empty tomb where Jesus had laid."

🙏 Let's Pray 🙏
🇲🇼 Volker and JinHyeog Glissmann, global mission workers, Malawi
Give thanks for those who recently completed, ‘The Story of God and His World’ a six-week overview course that also serves as a tool for Bible reading. Praise God also for the successful piloting of a follow-up course, ‘Abraham in the Story of God and His World’. Pray for opportunities to train church leaders to be able to run these courses effectively.

P R O M I S E D

Simeon, so in tune with the Holy Spirit, had been watching out in the temple for the long-awaited Messiah. Once he met baby Jesus, Simeon knew he was the one the whole world was waiting for and he took him in his arms and made his statement:

𝑳𝒖𝒌𝒆 2: 29-32
“𝑺𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒊𝒈𝒏 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅, 𝒂𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 promised, 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒎𝒂𝒚 𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒆. 𝑭𝒐𝒓 𝒎𝒚 𝒆𝒚𝒆𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒔𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒉 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔.”

As we enter a new year, may we lean into the Holy Spirit safe in the knowledge that God keeps all the promises he made in his Word, the Bible. God is the only one that can bring true, everlasting peace to our world.

P R A I S I N G

Many expectations of Christmas are not met and this can lead to disappointment and sadness. There is comfort in knowing that what was prophesied to happen took place - a Saviour was born and this enabled the shepherds, who were originally afraid, to rejoice. May it be the same for us today, as a New Year approaches.

𝑳𝒖𝒌𝒆 2:20
𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒉𝒆𝒑𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒅𝒔 𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒅, 𝒈𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒇𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 praising 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒆𝒆𝒏, 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒉 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒐𝒍𝒅.
