News from The Friends of St Marys, Linton:

The Friends’ autumn Coffee Morning will be held at the Church on Saturday, 17th October from 10:00 until about 11:30am, where there will be freshly brewed coffee, cake and a raffle.

The Friends’ next planned events are:

A New Year Coffee Morning - Saturday, 9th January 2027, 10:00-11:30am in the Church Pavilion with freshly brewed coffee, a raffle and homemade savouries.

The popular Quiz Evening in the Church - Saturday, 27th February 2027, from 7.00pm. Full details will be sent out nearer the time.

As you may know, in addition to the Friends’ contribution of over £34,000 towards the repairs to the organ and the installation of new boilers last year, further payments have recently helped to pay just over £16,500 for the costs of the Architect’s Quinquennial Inspection works in the Church, with further fees due. These works included maintenance to the roofing, repointing work at the East End and replacement of the bird guards in the belfry.

What a fantastic first night at Linton folk last night
