6-13 September is a Global Week of 24-7 prayer and local churches are taking part. Prayer is simply talking to God about what matters. Let us know about anything you would like us to pray for, big or small - if it matters to you, it matters. You can post prayer requests via DM here on Facebook, in the comments section below (post anonymously if it is easier), or simply write it on a piece of paper and drop it off at our Low Port office. We would love to pray for you.

Soul Space is back after a summer break. It's an opportunity to deepen our own faith journey using different ways to connect with God through stillness, listening, scripture, imagination, reflection, and creativity. Everyone is welcome, whether you've come along before or want to try it for the first time.

Join us next Thursday 3 September at 10.30am in Meeting Room 1 in the Low Port Centre.

Do you have a heart for vulnerable children and families? You're invited to The Invitation, a one-off session from Safe Families and Home for Good exploring God's heart for vulnerable children and families through Bible reflection, discussion, real-life stories, and prayer. Together, we'll consider how the Church is called to respond with compassion, hospitality, and practical care to those facing difficult circumstances. Join us on Thursday 27 August at 7:00pm in Low Port Centre, Meeting Room 3.

This week we begin our new Everyday Faithfulness sermon series with the topic of 'Sent Where You Are'. Stuart will speak about how being on mission is not something extra we have to add to our busy lives; it is part of who we already are as followers of Jesus. We will explore what it means to be sent by Jesus as his ambassadors of reconciliation wherever we already find ourselves: at home, at work, in our communities and relationships. We’ll discover how everyday faithfulness can begin simply by recognising that God has placed us where we are and inviting us to reflect his love there.

We'd love you to join us either in person at the Low Port Centre, or stream it online - simply check out our website home page to find our Sunday streaming links.

Sew Blessed is St John's friendly weekly sewing group, meeting on Monday mornings from 10:00am–12:30pm at the Low Port Centre, where people can sew, chat, enjoy refreshments, and learn together. Everyone is welcome, whether you're an experienced sewer or a complete beginner, with opportunities to develop creative skills through a wide variety of sewing projects. Inspired by the belief that creativity reflects God's nature, the group aims to encourage people to grow in confidence, learn new techniques, and share their gifts in a welcoming community.
