A Personal Update from Fr Anthony

Dear friends,

I just wanted to say a sincere thank you for your patience and understanding while I’ve not been around St Swithin’s Cathedral Church of the Traditional Anglican Church as much as usual recently. I’ve had some important personal matters to attend to and have needed to take a little time away.

I’ve genuinely missed being at the Cathedral, seeing familiar faces and being out in our community. I’m pleased to say that I’ll be back from this Sunday, and I’ll be out on outreach next Friday, continuing the work that means so much to me.

Thank you for your continued support, kindness and prayers. It truly is appreciated.

I look forward to seeing you all again very soon.

With every blessing,
Fr Anthony

Saturday – Prepare Your Heart

As we prepare for the Lord’s Day, let us quiet our hearts and look forward to worship.

There is great joy in gathering together as God’s people to offer prayer, praise, and thanksgiving.

“I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.” — Psalm 122:1

We look forward to welcoming you as we worship our risen Lord together.

May God bless your Saturday and prepare your heart for Sunday.

Friday – Give Thanks

As another week draws towards its close, pause and thank God for His faithfulness.

Whether this week has brought joy or trials, God has remained constant.

“O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good: for His mercy endureth for ever.” — Psalm 107:1

May gratitude fill your heart and hope carry you into the weekend.

God bless you.

Thursday – Be a Light

Every act of kindness reflects the love of Christ.

A gentle word, a helping hand, a forgiving heart—these simple acts can change someone’s day.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16

Today, be the light that points others to Jesus.

Wednesday – Midweek Encouragement

Midweek can leave us weary, but Christ renews those who come to Him.

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

Take a quiet moment today to pray, reflect, and rest in the presence of our Lord. His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

May God’s peace be with you.

Tuesday – Trust in God

Sometimes the path ahead is unclear, but our Lord never asks us to walk it alone.

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5

Today, place your worries into God’s hands. His wisdom is greater than our fears, and His plans are always for our good.

May Christ be your guide today.

Monday – A New Beginning

A Blessed Monday from St Swithin’s Cathedral Church

A new week is a fresh opportunity to walk with Christ. Whatever challenges lie ahead, remember that God has already gone before you.

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.” — Lamentations 3:22–23

May His peace guide your decisions, strengthen your heart, and fill your home with His grace.

Have a blessed Monday.

Happy Friday!

As another week draws to a close, take a moment to reflect on how far God has brought you. There may have been unexpected challenges, answered prayers, moments of joy, and lessons learned—but through it all, His faithfulness has never wavered.

Don’t rush into the weekend without thanking Him for His goodness. Every breath, every blessing, and every new opportunity is a gift from His loving hand.

As you go about your day, be a light to those around you. A kind word, a helping hand, or a simple smile can remind someone that they are seen, valued, and loved.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.” — Psalm 107:1

Here’s a question for you: What is one blessing you’re especially thankful for this week? Share it in the comments—we’d love to rejoice with you and thank God together.

May your Friday be filled with peace, gratitude, and the assurance that God is with you today and always. Have a blessed weekend! ✝️💙

Happy Wednesday!

You’ve made it to the middle of the week. Whether these past few days have been filled with victories or challenges, remember that God has been faithful through every moment—and He will continue to be.

Don’t let weariness steal your joy. Instead, pause today to rest in God’s promises. His grace is sufficient, His strength never runs out, and His presence goes with you wherever you are.

Take time to encourage someone today with a smile, a prayer, or a kind word. Small acts of love can have an eternal impact.

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” — Isaiah 40:31

May your Wednesday be filled with renewed strength, steadfast faith, and the peace that comes from trusting the One who holds every day in His hands. God bless you and your family. ✝️💙

Happy Tuesday!

Every new day is another opportunity to experience God’s faithfulness. Even if yesterday didn’t go as planned, today is a fresh start filled with His grace and new possibilities.

Wherever you go today, be a source of encouragement. Share a kind word, offer a helping hand, and let the love of Christ shine through your actions. The light you bring into someone’s life may be the answer to a prayer.

Remember, God is already walking ahead of you, preparing the way and strengthening you for whatever this day holds.

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.” — Lamentations 3:22–23

May your Tuesday be filled with peace, purpose, and the joy that comes from knowing you are deeply loved by God. Blessings to you and your family. ✝️💛
