The conference aims to bring together all those with an interest in the history and archives of Lincoln and Lincolnshire. After the special conference arranged for the Society's Magna Carta 800th anniversary celebrations in 2015, the regular conference series is now being resumed. Proposals for papers are invited on all aspects of the history of the city or ancient diocese of Lincoln or the county of Lincolnshire; applications are welcomed from research students, early-career researchers and independent scholars as well as academics.
The Lincoln Record Society is a registered charity founded with the object of the advancement of public education in the history of the ancient county of Lincolnshire and of the Diocese of Lincoln, including any counties which have at any time formed part of the Diocese of Lincoln, especially by the transcription, editing and publication of original historical documents. The aim of the conference is to highlight new research in the areas covered by the remit of the Lincoln Record Society.
Proposals for papers should be sent to Dr Julian Haseldine, Department of History, University of Hull ([email protected]) by Friday 22 January 2016.
