Refuge is such an important thing that we can offer people. It’s something that we are passionate about providing in The Living Room - that place of safety, knowing that you’re loved and supported through whatever you are going through.
Refuge isn’t a process we rush people through, it looks different for everyone - but what is amazing is when people feel safe enough to be able to step forward and grow again.
Today we look at the importance of both of these things, refuge and growth, and consider how we can help people to feel strong enough to; not only begin to grow, but be able to be refuge to the people that they come across in life.

On this Mother’s Day we send all our love.
Such gratitude to those who sacrifice or have sacrificed themselves giving to children. We celebrate you.

To those in the trenches of the early years where sleep is sparse, tears are many and you are needed at all times. You are seen.

To those who have adopted or fostered and taken children into their homes and hearts, you are special and miraculous. Thank you.

To those who are missing their mums, we pray for comfort and cherished memories that make you smile.

To those whose relationship with their mum is complicated. We are sorry it is so, you deserve better.

To those who longed to be a mum. We are so sorry it didn’t happen for you, we feel the ache for you and we wish it were different. You are brave and courageous, and you are loved beyond measure.

To those whose children have died, through miscarriage, through still birth, through illness and unconceivable tragedy, our hearts are broken for you. Life can be so cruel. You are the bravest kind of Mother’s. The ones who continue to live with a gaping hole in their world, who continue to love and keep breathing. You are warriors.

Whatever feelings today brings, know that you are loved from the truest heavenly Heart- unconditional love, sacrificial love and a love that will hold you if today feels hard. 🌷
