✨ Celebrating 30 Years of Girls in the Cathedral Choir ✨
This year marks an important milestone in the Cathedral’s musical life – 30 years since the admission of girl choristers.
To mark this occasion, we warmly invite all former girl choristers to return and take part in a special performance of Handel’s Messiah.
We hope you will join us in celebrating this significant anniversary by raising your voice once more in the Cathedral to honour three decades of music, worship, and shared tradition.

Join us on Saturday 22 November at 7pm for the music of Handel's Messiah as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of girls singing at Lincoln Cathedral. For this year’s performance, our soloists will comprise of members of the Choir and feature former girl choristers.
Messiah features one of the most famous pieces of choral music, the Hallelujah Chorus, however this piece has so much more to offer. It is made up of striking solo arias, interspersed with captivating chorus numbers telling the story of Jesus’ birth, life, death and victorious resurrection.
