Keep Limpsfield Blooming 🌸🌼🌹🌺🌳

Come and spend an hour looking round Limpsfield Village this Saturday afternoon. The village is looking lovely despite the hot weather!

Why not have a look at the books in the old telephone box, which now include some children’s books.

Take a stroll to the River Eden at the bottom of the high street, where the elves have put in place two log seats under the willows at the bottom of the first set of steps - these go with with the splendid elves house on the left bank of the river.

Then wander up to the Glebe Meadow to see the Limpsfield Fitness building which looks great.

And do join us for refreshments in St Peter’s Hall from 3pm, where Charlie Jarrett will have an exhibition of unique Limpsfield photos.

Join us this Sunday 5 July for a fun, interactive outdoor family service.

We'll be getting creative with a giant spaghetti, marshmallow and sweet-building challenge, where everyone will work together to build their own church! It's a great morning for all ages, whether you're coming on your own, with friends, or bringing the whole family.

There may not be any official judging this year, but that won't stop us keeping Limpsfield blooming! 🌺🌸

On Saturday 18 July, come along for a fascinating historical and horticultural walk led by Richard Spiller. Discover the stories behind Limpsfield Village and celebrate the flowers that make our beautiful village such a delight at this time of year.

📍 Meet at the top of the High Street
🕑 2:00pm
☕ Tea and biscuits in the hall at 3.00pm.

*Musical Memories Cancelled*

For anyone hoping to come or bring anyone to Musical Memories this week, due to the high temperatures expected tomorrow, the organisers have decided to cancel it. Not necessarily because of the heat in the Millennium Room (if anything our church is quite a cool place to be in a heatwave!), but more to protect some of our more vulnerable getting in and out of cars and into church in the midday heat. If you know anyone who usually comes who may not see this or via other means, please let them know. Hope everyone stays nice and hydrated!

📢 Important Notice for Dog Owners at the Village Fete Tomorrow

Due to the forecast temperatures, please be aware that if the temperature reaches 24°C or above, the Dog Show will be cancelled.

For the safety and wellbeing of all dogs, owners are strongly advised not to bring their dogs to the fete if temperatures are 24°C or higher, as there is very little shade available on site. 🐶🐕 ☀️

Next weekend, don't forget our Summer Fete on the Glebe Meadow. Bring your family, friends and neighbours - there's something for everyone to enjoy and is always a fun community afternoon raising money for St Peter's and Limpsfield Infant School.

As well as a wide variety of stalls, we'll have a traditional Punch and Judy show, a dog show, games and children's activities including Messy Church. Limpsfield School will be displaying children's artwork and performing country dancing, while a choir, dancing school and line dancers will provide entertainment throughout the afternoon.
