⚓️ Display 2026 ⚓️
First of all, I want to express my sincere thanks to our officers and leaders. Week after week, you give your time, energy, and gifts so willingly. You plan activities, run badge work, organise trips, and — just as importantly — provide encouragement and a listening ear. Our Company simply could not function without your dedication, and I am truly grateful for every one of you.
To the parents and guardians, thank you for your continued support. You bring the boys out on dark winter nights, you remind them about uniforms and events, and you trust us with their wellbeing and development. Your partnership means so much.
A very special word of thanks goes to Norman, our Inspecting Officer this evening.
And last — but certainly by no means least — thank you to the boys. You are the heart of this Company. Your enthusiasm, your humour, your teamwork, and your willingness to learn and grow make all the hard work worthwhile. Each of you has played a part in making this year a success, and I hope you are proud of everything you’ve achieved.
As we look back on the year, I’m reminded of the Object of the Boys’ Brigade:“The advancement of Christ’s kingdom among boys, and the promotion of habits of obedience, reverence, discipline, self-respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness.”
This isn’t just a sentence printed in a handbook — it’s what guides our programme, our relationships, and our purpose. Whether through games, devotions, badge work, or service, our aim is always to help our boys grow into young men of character, confidence, and faith.
Thank you again for your support, and I hope you enjoyed our Display Night.
