Well Dressing: Blessing of the well on Sunday.

The beautiful well dressing was created from petals, seeds, cones etc by a team of volunteers, led by Pauline Cox who designed and organised the whole event.
The smaller picture was done by the children’s Explorer group.

Visit the display until Saturday afternoon this week.

To all our friends,
I'll be retiring from my role as Rector of St Chad's on 31st July after almost eleven years. We'll be moving away from Staffordshire to Burnley in Lancashire.

I've lived and worked in Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire for almost 40 years and want to honour all the different roles I've had.

You're invited to a Retirement Celebration on Saturday 8th July - with a Thanksgiving Service at St Chad's, Lichfield at 2.30pm with an Afternoon Tea at St Chad's church hall at 4.00pm.

All are welcome whether you're a church regular or not. If you'd like to help Linda and I mark our major transition please let me know and I will send details of how to find us.
With love and good wishes
Rod

In Explorers today, we explored symbols and were inspired by King Charle’s emblem to create our own representing who we are. We included Christian symbols as well as things that show our hobbies.

Live @ 9:15 on hold

Over the last few weeks that there have been some technical issues with the Live @ 9:15 live stream.

We have been endeavouring to get to the bottom of the problem. This has included moving the whole production to a different system. With so many components (hardware and software) is has not been easy to resolve.

Recently, during some routine preparation the results were not ideal. However, it did enable to narrow down the problem.
Unfortunately, it may take a little time to resolve. Therefore, rather than struggle on, it is best that the Live @ 9:15 is put on hold while we take some time to sort it properly.

Once it is all working as it should we’ll let you know and how we pick up where we left off.

Thank you for all your support for Live @ 9:15 and we’ll be in touch in due course.

You are all welcome to our services over the next days as we celebrate Easter.

Today - 6th April - Maundy Thursday at 7.30pm as we remember Jesus at the Last Supper, washing the disciples feet and giving us the gift of holy communion.

Friday 7th April - Good Friday - services at 8am and 2pm as we remember the death of Jesus on the cross and his love offered freely to all.

Sunday 9th April - Easter Day - at 10.00am as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus from the dead and the gift of new life.

Today, in Explorers we ordered the Easter story and then considered the importance of each day in Holy Week. We then made our own palm crosses. It was a joyful session sharing all we know of what Jesus did for us.
