St Stephen's Church Fradley

St Stephen's Church Fradley St Stephen's Church was built as a Chapel of Ease so that local families did not have to travel to All Saints Church in Alrewas.

St Stephen's Church has stood in Fradley since 1861. We're going to rebuild it. In LEGO.

This is a community project bringing together local children, schools and history lovers to create a detailed LEGO model of our village church, celebrating its architecture, its stories, and the people who've been part of it.

We're just getting started, and we'd love you along for the journey. Follow this page for updates, behind-the-scenes progress and ways to get involved.

We hope to see you there.

A poem written by Julia Usher for the marriage of Peter Usher and Camilla Mather on 16 May 2026

A Life of Love

What is this feeling that surrounds us?
That reaches deep and then consoles us?
It binds us to our fellow neighbour
Protects our world and is its saviour
It permeates each nook and cranny
And lifts our spirits, just like a Grannie

It brings together man and wife
And holds them close throughout their life
It blesses them with new creations
And helps them nurture new relations
When life gets busy and highly stressful
It calms their souls and keeps them restful

Like is a marriage of commitments
Full of grace and forgiveness
But most of all throughout the seasons
It's filled with a presence beyond all reasons
An enduring power that holds us tightly
The deep, deep love of God Almightly

A couple of Sundays coming up with a difference. πŸ™

This Pentecost Sunday (24 May), we’re joining our friends at All Saints, Alrewas for a benefice service at 10:00am. No service at St Stephen’s that morning, so do head over to Alrewas if you can.

Then the following Sunday, Trinity Sunday (31 May), we’re hosting the benefice service right here at St Stephen’s, starting at 10:30am as usual.

All are very welcome at both. It’s a lovely opportunity to worship together as a wider community.
