Did you come to RISE yesterday?
We started our new series off with a boogie to the jazzy melody of "I wanna be like you". We enjoyed breakfast - toast, pancakes, croissants, fruit, cereals, tea, coffee and juice.
In our discussion we looked at the following questions:
1οΈβ£ Who do we follow and who do we compare ourselves to?
2οΈβ£ How easy or hard is it to find and hold onto our own worth?
After that Mark led our talk where he encouraged us and reminded us of our own self worth. He dipped into the bible:
π For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my motherβs womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139)
π So do not worry about tomorrow; it will have enough worries of is own. There is no need to add to the troubles each day brings. (Matthew 6)
Our time together finished with worship - our time to be with God through song. Here's what we sang, so you can add them to your own worship playlist:
πΆ "O Come to the Altar" - Elevation Worship
πΆ "Good Good Father" - Chris Tomlin
πΆ "Good Neighbour" - Evan Craft
πΆ "How Great is our God" - Chris Tomlin
πΆ "Your Grace is Enough" - Matt Maher

See you again in 2 weeks - Sunday 27th September, 9am, at Lichfield Methodist Church π
