📢📢 NEW SERIES ANNOUNCEMENT 📢📢

Next month we start a new series - "Life's a Jungle: Navigating the Wild, Guided by Faith". 🌿✝️

The weekly titles take inspiration from the well-known jungle themed book and film, "The Jungle Book". 🐵 The title leads us to explore a different theme each week, including: identity, survival, loyalty, rules and good vs evil. Whilst the titles may suggest you need to have seen the film or read the book, they are just an inspiration - you don't need to have seen/read in order to gain from this series.

So come take a walk through the jungle with us this Autumn. Come and see how faith can be our guide through some unbe-leaf-able, wild moments of our life! 🌿

Good Evening RISE! ☀️

We are currently on the 3rd week of the summer holidays. How are you doing? What have you all been up to? Has anyone been away? 🧳

Just a reminder that RISE is taking a Summer Break over August. Our next gathering will be on Sunday 13th September, where we will be starting a new series - more details of that later in the month! 😃

The best teams aren’t just a collection of superstars; they are made of people who know their role and trust the team around them. True community is about having people to lean on, people to encourage us in the mundane moments, and a team to celebrate with in our triumphs! 🙌🎉

Join us this Sunday for RISE Breakfast as we conclude our series, "More than a Game: finding faith across the field".

This week’s theme is "Join the Team", and we are taking that literally! Alongside breakfast, we are overjoyed to be celebrating a baptism as someone publicly joins the family of God. 🌊✨

A bit of late evening worship taken from RISE on Sunday 12th July, with some words of encouragement.

All creation cries: "Holy, Holy forever" 🎶 Our reminder to shift our focus from self to God. In our current series, "More than a Game", we've looked at:

👟 "Running the Race" - God with us every step
🚲 "The Uphill Climb" - Focussing on God when the road gets difficult to climb
🛏 "The Pit Stop" - Resting with God

To stop isn't a sign of weakness, to slow down isn't a sign to give up... Perseverance comes from an inner strength - strength through faith... "Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." (Isaiah 40 v 31)

On Sunday we did a couple of new worship songs, including this one: "Every Step". It perfectly captured the essence of our theme, which was "Running the Race", and how God is with me, with you, with us, every step. 👣

I hope you enjoy this small snippet from Sunday, where you can hear the sounds of young children joining in. A lovely example of RISE being a community for all 💛🎶

Whether you’re a die-hard sports fan or just trying to navigate the everyday marathon of life, this series is for you. Throughout June and July, we’ll be taking inspiration from the diverse world of sports to explore what faith looks like in action.

As always, we’ve got the coffee brewing and breakfast ready for you. Come as you are, bring a friend, and let’s huddle up!

IMPORTANT Information about this Sunday

This Sunday, 24th May, there will be no RISE gathering happening at Lichfield Methodist Church. Many of our team are taking a break over the bank holiday weekend and are away, so no early morning get up this week!

We'll be back again in June - Sunday 14th June - where we will be beginning a new series!
