Wellfield Church

Wellfield Church We are a community of people who meet in Northbrook barn, Leyland. The Bible is central to what we're about because we believe it is God's word.

We believe the message of the whole Bible. We believe that it is relevant to all people everywhere, because God made all people, everywhere. The Bible tells how right from the very beginning, people have rejected God, thinking that they could do a better job of running their own lives. After lots of evidence that this (people running their own lives) never works out, the Bible then clearly explain

s how God sent his son Jesus to rescue people - the very people who rejected him in the first place. A Christian is somebody who realises that they have rejected God, and chooses to accept Jesus' rescue. A Christian then lives with God in charge of their lives. Wellfield Church is a group of Christians, who love to welcome other people so that they can also have the chance to find out about what Jesus has done for us. We run all kinds of activities through the week both in the barn and elsewhere, and all of these activities aim to help us get to know people, and to find out more about God's rescue plan through Jesus.

Some photos from our beach day.

Nice to have David and volunteers giving us a very visual re-enactment of God’s people coming through the Red Sea and the Egyptians being swallowed up behind them!

Also, some of us may have got a little sunburnt and stayed there until after 5pm. 😁

We're not a church who repeats endless rituals trying to make ourselves right with God; rather we meet to remind one another of the great and perfect rescue Jesus has already completed on our behalf ❤️

Photoshop of the day - What can erase my sin?

"without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins."(Hebrews 9:22b)

"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin". (1st John 1:7)

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness". (1st John 1:9)

This is a wonderful statement and accompanying photograph.

‘We have not left the Anglican Communion; we are the Anglican Communion’.

To our dear Anglican brothers and sisters in Christ. Grace and peace to you in the name of our risen Lord Jesus Christ, on the Commemoration of the martyrdom of Hugh Latimer and Nicholas Ridley. The first Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON) gathered in 2008 in Jerusalem to prayerfully respond...

Happy Birthday to us! We're grateful to God for eighteen years of provision and faithfulness.
