Central and Norton Methodist Churches (one church on two sites) aim to offer a warm welcome, with a range of Worship styles and many different activities running during the week. At Central we offer musical groups, youth groups, and outreach, and a 'tea and toddler' group. At Norton we offer a weekly Tuesday afternoon of company, conversation and quizzes; and the Little Squirrels group on a Thursd

ay morning. Sunday Services are 09.30 at Norton (in North Avenue) and 10:45 each Sunday morning with joint Holy Communion service once a month at Central (Pixmore Way) with a monthly evening prayer service in addition.

Details of Sunday Worship at Letchworth Methodist Church on 6th September 2026 :

10.30 and on Zoom: Holy Communion Circuit Service. This is a service to recognise the joining together of Central, Norton and Stotfold Methodist Churches.
There will be no other services on the circuit that morning.
The service will be led jointly by Emmanuel and Rev Jacob Donkoh and will include the commissioning of the new managing trustees.
Our band will play and be augmented by musicians from Hitchin and from Knebworth.

The service will be followed by refreshments. Everyone welcome.

To some this looks like a crate of baked beans.

To us this is the community showing up for each other.

We need beans and Best Before Cafe leave this on the doorstep.

We need food donations and vutiebeets drop into our Letchworth Welcome Centre with bags and bags of donations from their customers.

We love being part of a community that is willing to show up for those facing hunger and hardship.

We are devastated by the serious incident that took place at Big Church Festival 2026 today, in which a sign fell, injuring at least seven people, one of whom tragically lost their life.

First and foremost, all of our thoughts are with those who have been affected, their families and friends, and everyone who witnessed what happened.

Following today’s incident, we have made the decision to bring Big Church Festival 2026 to a close.
