💚 THIS MONTH’S REFLECTIVE SERVICE: ENVY

Envy is something we rarely talk about, yet many of us have experienced it in one way or another.

It can quietly grow through comparison, resentment or the feeling that someone else has what we wish we had. Left unchecked, it can steal our joy, damage relationships and distract us from the life God has given us.

Join us as we explore what the Bible says about envy, why it matters, and how faith in Christ offers a better way—one marked by contentment, gratitude and love.

Whether you’re curious about Christianity, have been part of church for years, or simply want some space to reflect, you’ll be made very welcome.

Life is busy.

The news moves fast.
Opinions are everywhere.
But opportunities to stop, think and have a genuine conversation about the bigger questions are surprisingly rare.

Join us for a thought-provoking talk led by forensic criminologist and Oxford academic The Rev’d John Deane-O’Keeffe, exploring what one of the Seven Deadly Sins—Pride—might reveal about modern England, our identity and ourselves.

Do you have a young person who likes having their own money to spend during the summer holidays? Well here's an opportunity to help with that.

On Saturday 1st August, 10-12, we will be holding a Youth Market and Lego Cafe at Christ Church in Pall Mall, Leigh. We are looking for children and teenagers up to the age of 16 to sell their homemade crafts, secondhand toys, books and/or clothes, or to run their own game or activity (e.g. lucky dip, hoopla, tin can alley). There's no charge for a stall so they keep whatever they make. However, we do have a limited number of tables so we would ask for you to bring your own table please. Younger children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult throughout the event.
