This Ash Wednesday (18th Feb) we will be joining St Crispin's Church Braunstone Town with Thorpe Astley for a Benefice Ash Wednesday service tat 7:30pm.

Our next service at St. Andrew's will be this coming Sunday (22nd Feb) at 11am: Holy Communion led by Revd Jimi.

It's pancake day, it's pancake day, it's... well, you know the song - it's Pancake Day! Also known as Shrove Tuesday, this was traditionally the day people would use up their (then) luxury items of eggs, sugar and butter into pancakes ready for the 40-day fast in the season of Lent.

Speaking of Lent, we start this period of reflection and preparation for Easter with a special service this Ash Wednesday (18th) starting at 7:30pm during which we reflect on our past wrongdoing and seek God's forgiveness ahead of the Easter celebration. The service includes music and penitential ('saying sorry') prayers with the option for those who wish to have the sign of the cross made on their forehead in ash as a sign of repentance and trust in Jesus' power to save us from our sins through the power of his sacrifice on the cross. All are welcome to join us for this service.

There will be NO SERVICE at St. Andrew's this coming Sunday (18th Jan). This is because we will be joining a Churches Together service at Kirby Muxloe Free Church for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. That service starts at 11am and is followed by refreshments. All are most welcome to join us for this special service alongside our sisters and brothers in Christ from other local churches.
