Wow… where do I even begin?

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our very first Encounter yesterday evening. To see so many people gathered together for worship, reflection, fellowship, and encouragement was more than I could have hoped for.

What started as a small idea written down in a box file has become a reality, and last night was a reminder of what can happen when people support, encourage, and believe in a vision.

Thank you to everyone who attended, helped behind the scenes, played music, sang, prayed, encouraged others to come, and supported this new venture in any way. You have all played a part in making last night so special.

I’m incredibly grateful to our minister Rev. Joy for her encouragement and belief in this from the very beginning, and to everyone at Epworth Methodist Church for embracing the idea and helping bring it to life.

This is only the beginning, and I’m excited to see where God leads us next.

We’ll be back on Sunday 5th July at 6pm, and we’d love to welcome you again.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. ❤️

This morning at Prayer Group, we spent time reading and discussing Joshua 8:1–34, reflecting on the account of Ai and the lessons it holds for us today.

Our conversation explored themes of obedience, trust in God’s guidance, learning from past mistakes, and the importance of putting God at the centre of all we do. We also reflected on Joshua’s faithfulness and the renewal of the covenant as the people gathered to hear God’s Word.

One of the joys of our Prayer Group is the opportunity to openly discuss Scripture, share different perspectives, and discover something new together each week.

We then spent time in prayer and reflection, bringing before God the needs of our church, community, and wider world. 🙏

Everyone is welcome to join us on Saturdays at 9am as we explore the Bible together, share in discussion, and spend time in prayer.

We are delighted to announce the launch of a new Sunday Evening Worship gathering at Epworth, beginning on Sunday 7th June 2026 at 6pm.

This new monthly gathering has grown from a heartfelt desire to create a welcoming and reflective space for people seeking peace, encouragement, connection, and closeness with God.

The service will include live worship music, thanksgiving, a short message, and time for quiet reflection in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Initially, Sunday Evening Worship will take place on the first Sunday of each month, and we are excited to see how this new community grows and develops.

Everyone is welcome — whether you attend church regularly, are exploring faith, or simply feel in need of a peaceful space to pause and reflect.

We would be so grateful if you could share this post with friends, family, neighbours, churches, and the wider community as we begin this new chapter together.
