St Denys Church, Evington St Denys Church stands on the edge of the city of Leicester; an ancient place of worship for over 800 years.

St Denys Church stands on the very edge of the city of Leicester and the beautiful Leicestershire countryside; an ancient place of worship but just as much alive as ever; reaching out to the local community and welcoming in all who come to visit; a people and place of prayer at the heart of Evington in the name of Jesus Christ. The mission of this church is to grow and develop as one family in a

n atmosphere of sacrificial love, acceptance and support. The church intends to share the Good News of Jesus by serving the local community and beyond, so enabling God's love to become a reality in people's lives.

Today was a day of great celebration as we marked Geraldine's 35 years as a reader. She was gifted a lovely biblical art print and beautiful rainbow roses. Geraldine has decided to take a well earned break to discern what God wants her to do next. We would like to thank Geraldine for her dedication to St Denys and the wider community.

We also celebrated the wonderful news that our Locally Authorised Minister, Kimberley, will be commencing ordination training to become a priest, having been sucesful in her stage 2 panel. Kimberley will now undertake a 2 year college course, with time in parish, followed by a 3 year curacy. We are excited to be part of Kimberley's journey.

We would love to welcome you at 10am today. 🕊

Lottie helped shape the service by selecting the hymns and songs, and spoke about how her faith in Jesus had grown over recent years.

We pray that Lottie will continue to be guided by God. 🙏
