Glenfield Methodist Church serves the community in and around Glenfield, near Leicester, in the east midlands. We aim to be a friendly and caring church community, offering a warm welcome to people of all ages and backgrounds. Our church family is made up of ordinary people who have experienced the extraordinary love and grace of God through Jesus Christ. We continue to meet over the summer for our Coffee & Chat sessions. We have the Hall booked for some Mondays - tomorrow included - as it should be much cooler in there, so come along for a cup of coffee, tea or cool glass of squash and some company.

Our Circuit Churches will be worshipping together on Sunday morning at 10.30am (14 June) at St Andrew's Church in Leicester Forest East. The preacher will be our District Chair, the Revd Dr Sonia Hicks. There will, therefore, be no service at our church in Glenfield on that morning.

Holy Spirit come again this Pentecost:
Out of the depth we call.
Cut through the noise to still our souls and warm our hearts.
Open our ears to hear and understand.
Give us to unhurried work as those assured by grace.
Holy Spirit come again this Pentecost:
Out of the depth we call.
Prevent us from harm, raise our hope, comfort our lament.
Persist in us as conscience, care and love.
As you awoke our brother John, awaken us: from his Aldersgate into our own.

What glorious weather we will have for our Plant Sale tomorrow, Saturday 23 May. The Hall is set out with perennials and lots of other plants, including strawberries and a few veg! The Gazebos are up in the Garden and the bedding plants will be displayed in time for our 10am start. Tables and chairs for that sit down and cuppa.
We hope you can come along!
