Leicester Cathedral is a Grade II* listed building on the site of Roman worship. The present St Martins church dates from the Norman period and has evolved continuously since then, notably in the Victorian period, but more work was done in 1927 when it became a cathedral. Since March 2015 the cathedral has housed the tomb of King Richard III. Visiting Hours

You may know that today is the 1st Sunday after Trinity. What is ?

In the Church of England, Trinity time is the liturgical season that begins on Trinity Sunday (the Sunday after Pentecost) and continues until Advent. It is a long period of what is called "Ordinary Time", allowing us to focus on the ongoing, day-to-day life of the Church and apply Jesusโ€™s teachings to everyday life.

It's also colloquially called the Green Season - because our vestments at this time are green!

Interested? Come to one of our services or speak to a member of clergy to find out more.
