Launde Abbey is a Christian retreat house and conference centre in the East Midlands open to the whole church and the wider community. Located in the heart of England, we're easily accessible from the A1, M1 and A47. Launde Abbey embodies its four keywords ‘Prayer’, ‘Hospitality’, Community’ and ‘Sanctuary’. The Community offers a full programme of retreats throughout the year, as well as monthly
Quiet Days. We offer a range of comfortable ensuite overnight catered packages for those seeking a self-guided retreat or if you are just visiting the local area. The gardens and grounds at Launde Abbey are extensive and beautiful, with long and short walks available nearby. Our café is open on most days for visitors to enjoy a morning coffee, afternoon tea or one of our delicious lunches. We do occasionally close, so if you are travelling a long distance please visit our website for dates when we are closed to the public. The medieval Chapel, which formed part of the original Augustinian Priory, is a place of worship with a rhythm of prayer taking place daily, available to all who visit and there are also other smaller chapels in the house and grounds that are suitable for individual or small group worship.
