Leicester Lo-Fi Photography

Leicester Lo-Fi Photography Welcome to Leicester Lo-Fi Photography. We hope to have regular meet ups to swap ideas, take pictures, make prints, set projects and hold exhibitions.

We’re a small group of Leicester based photographers that embrace the traditional aspects of photography by using old film cameras, toy cameras, pin holes, alternative processes and darkroom printing etc. Come join us. http://www.leicesterlofi.co.uk/

This months film is about O Winston Link, an American photographer best known for his dramatic black-and-white images of steam locomotives on the Norfolk & Western Railway in the 1950s. Using elaborate lighting setups and carefully staged scenes, he captured trains passing through small towns and rural landscapes at night, creating striking photographs that documented the final years of steam railroading in the United States. His work is celebrated for blending technical precision with storytelling, preserving an important moment in transportation history
