All welcome to bring little ones to shake, rattle and roll your way into Autumn with our Director of Music Emma 🍂 🪇 🪘 No need to book, drop in to the hall around the back of the church building (on St James Terrace) where there is a small car park you’re welcome to use!

Small Sounds at St James the Greater has completed its first year. It has been such a joy to meet all the families and make music together! And we have great news, we are continuing next year with generous part-funding from the Cathedral Music Trust! We are so grateful for all their support! If you would like to help (even occasionally!) with Small Sounds, please talk to Emma Trounson or Emma Smith who can give you more information. Until then, we'll see all the Small Sounds families again on Monday 7th September 10.30am to shake, rattle and roll into Autumn! Have a great summer!!! 🤩

We're looking forward to welcoming Castle Baroque Players for our bonus 'Recitals at St James' concert this Sunday at 3pm.

The final two performances of our acclaimed summer tour 'Il fior de lino' are on 30 August, 3pm at St James the Greater, Leicester, and on 2 September, 1pm at St Mary's, Hinckley. Don't miss out on this joyful celebration of music from across seventeenth-century Italy!

Calling all LEICESTER singers... including STUDENTS coming to LEICESTER!

Here are some of our choir members on tour at Great St Mary's, Cambridge! And some of our friends and alumni (who keep coming back to join us in the holidays...!) Why? Probably because the singing and the company is so lovely! As you can see a few of our junior choristers even joined us for the services on Sunday! We've been on our summer break ever since, but we're coming back next weekend, with our first rehearsal back on Friday 28th August. Get in touch and try us out. Come along to Recitals at St James this Sunday at 3.00pm to hear some jazz music 🎵 Pay as you feel - suggested donation £10. Followed by refreshments.

Chorister Recital Sunday 10th May 3.00pm

This month’s Recitals at St James performers are choral, solo and duet items by musicians from our Junior and Senior Choirs, with two of our young Organists/Pianists: Easher Austin (Organ Scholar) and Daniel MacDonald (Junior Choir Accompanist) who are also playing the organ for our services today!
The concert is 3.00pm-4.00pm, followed by refreshments. All Recitals at St James concerts are 'Pay as you feel’ with donations raising money for the church.
