Wrangthorn, St Augustine's

Wrangthorn, St Augustine's We are a community who love to worship God, and serve our local community here in Hyde Park St.

Augustine's is a community who love to worship God, want to know Him better and who are seeking to share his love with others. We do this by gathering together on a Sunday to worship, in smaller groups through the week to study the bible, and reaching out in many and varied ways like providing hospitality to the park runners! Our service times :

“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’” Mark 16: 6 -7

We celebrate a risen Lord, one who has defeated death and offers us the same. Join us on Easter Sunday to celebrate this eternal truth as we share in communion at 10.30am 5th of April.

The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 1 Corinthians 11:23-25

Come join us as we reflect on Jesus' last meal before he journeys to the cross and share in communion to remember the sacrifice Jesus made on the corss. 7.30pm 2nd of April.

"Remember that you are but dust, and to dust you shall return. Turn away from sin and be faithful to Christ."

Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent. Ashes made from palm crosses are blessed and are used to make crosses on people's foreheads. Ash Wednesday services set the tone for Lent, with sombre readings and hymns and a focus on saying sorry for and turning away from sin.

Join us this Wednesday for a service of Ashing and Communion at 10.30am in the church.
