It was wonderful to worship together at St Ed’s today. We are thinking about creation, the environment and climate care in June. See below for services ⬇️
We are also looking to make our building and worship life more eco-friendly over the next few years and sustainable for future generations. Can you help?
We are inviting all members of our church family to take an envelope with £10 in it and to put on an event or think of an activity which raises additional funds from the original £10. You have until Harvest Sunday on 4th October to do this. It’s an opportunity to get creative, take action to care for the earth and share faith & community. Some ideas below ⬇️ though you might have others!

Today in National Volunteers Week we are giving thanks for everyone who serves on St Ed’s PCC. The PCC has a wide range of responsibilities and each person brings valuable gifts which enrich God’s church and mission in Roundhay. Thank you all!

It’s World Environment Day today and caring for the planet is important to all of us 🌱🌍Here is a reminder of our 10am service this Sunday where all ages worship together. We will be looking at the very beginning of the Bible and thinking about God’s purposes for creation. It’s a bring & share lunch afterwards too. There is also an 8am quiet Holy Communion service too on the same theme. Everyone welcome!

We were delighted last night to see Anne commissioned as Churchwarden at St Ed’s for another year 🙏🏻 Her faith, hard work and friendship are inspirational. We love her to bits! Thank you to everyone who came to support her, among them volunteers covering areas of church life such as buildings, grounds, refreshments, lay reader ministry, IT sound desk and service projector, uniformed groups, prayers and baptism ministry! Grateful doesn’t quite cover it. Thank you Anne for all you are and all you do! 🤩

Today in this National Volunteers Week we celebrate the St Ed’s / RVS Tuesday Seniors Lunch Team - Amanda, Mark, Elaine, Bev & Hilary. There were 21 guests when I popped in today all making Chinese lanterns and tucking into delicious sandwiches, quiche and cakes. The team work hard every Tuesday 11-12.30!
