*THE PRAYER ROOM – 7:30-8:30PM THIS EVENING, FRIDAY 8PM*

_He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church. *1 Corinthians 14:4*_

Praying in the Spirit is ‘building in the Spirit’.

The word edify (NT Gk: Oἰκοδομέω phonetic Oikodomeō), according to Thayers Greek Lexion means:

1) To build a house, erect a building, to build up from the foundation, to restore by building, to rebuild, repair, to found, establish
2) To promote growth in Christian wisdom, affection, grace, virtue, holiness, blessedness

The very first mention of the word is found in Matthew 7:24 where the Lord is calling His people to be wise, listen to His words and BUILD on the rock.
In Matthew 16, When Peter has the revelation that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the most High God, Jesus prophetically declares that He is ‘Peter’ (a stone, whereas his birth name Simon meant ‘reed’, something weak) and that on the rock Jesus would BUILD His Church.

The Lord is calling us to build in the Spirit, by the Spirit, not by human effort – not by might, not by power, not by charisma, not by promotion, but by the Spirit.

As we turn ourselves over to pray in the Holy Spirit, a building and establishing will take place and it is He who builds the House.
There is a rock to build on, let us pray and the Lord will build.
He will build our individual lives, things will come to pass and be resolved in our families.

Things that God has freely given you, through the redemptive work of Christ, will be unlocked by the Holy Spirit!

_Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. *1 Corinthians 2:12*_

As we are edified and built by the Spirit, the prophetic of God will come forth more among us. What does that mean? It will mean prophetic words, words of knowledge come forth! But the bigger picture, it will mean an immediacy and reality of the NOW tangible presence of Jesus the King among us, where we are not just ‘having services’, but living gatherings, and people will come and know ‘God is present in the midst.’

See you in prayer this week, tonight Monday, 7:30pm, and Friday 8pm.

THE HOLY SPIRIT BRINGS YOU THE FATHER'S EMBRACE.

Receive the Father’s Embrace Today
All of us need a hug sometimes.
But if there’s a group of people who especially need it, it’s our children.
There’s something about a simple embrace from a parent that speaks louder than words. Even the most heartfelt advice or lavish gift can come up short. But a hug? It has the power to go straight to their hearts.
In a world that constantly measures us by how well we behave or perform, a hug delivers a message that our kids desperately need to hear:
You are loved. You are accepted. You are seen.
It reaches places words can’t.
It softens their hearts to listen when nagging or correction falls flat.
It breaks down walls and conveys our love for them in the simplest yet most powerful way.
And that’s exactly what we see in Luke 15:20:
“And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.”
The word “fell” in Greek means “to embrace.”
Just picture it. The son, still wearing the filth and shame of his choices… and the father running toward him, throwing his arms around him, and holding him close.
No hesitation. No demand for an explanation. Just an embrace.
And then… the father begins to kiss him repeatedly. Again and again.
What a vivid picture of the Father’s heart.
This wasn’t a cold welcome. It was an outpouring of love from a father’s heart to his long-lost son.
Notice that the son wasn’t first given a lecture on filial piety before he was allowed to step in. He was simply loved by the father.
Sometimes that’s exactly what our children need too.
Yes, there’s a place for discipline. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 13:24 that if we love our children, we will correct and guide them. But it’s also important to recognize the moments when our children simply need to be held—to be reminded that they are still loved, still safe, still ours.
That little one acting out. That teenager pulling away in silence. They don’t just need more knowledge of grace—they need to actually experience it. And often, nothing communicates that more powerfully than your embrace as a parent.
But I want to go deeper.
Because it’s not just our children who need that; we need this too. You. Me.
When we fail…
When we make the same mistake again...
When we feel ashamed, unworthy, or just plain tired…
What our hearts are really crying out for isn’t more advice or more steps to get right. It’s a hug. It’s the Father’s embrace.
So, how do we experience that today?
Acts 10:44 gives us a powerful picture:
“While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word.”
There’s that same word “fell” again.
The Holy Spirit fell on them. And what followed?
They began to speak in tongues and worship.
This is one beautiful way our Father embraces us today.
When you pray in the Spirit—or play a worship song and begin to sing in the Spirit—the Holy Spirit falls upon you with His embrace.
And do you know what the Greek word for worship is?
It’s proskuneo, which means “to kiss.”
In that moment, your Daddy God is right there, just like the father in Luke 15.
Embracing you, kissing you, restoring you.
His embrace washes away every bit of guilt.
His kisses silence the voice of condemnation.
His love resets your soul.
So can I encourage you? Don’t rush past these moments. Make space in your day to pray in the Spirit, worship, and simply be with the Lord.
You are His child. And His hugs and kisses? They’re not something to be earned.
They’re your portion… today and every day.

KING OF KINGS CHURCH SUNDAY SERVICE 10.30 am

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that
have been freely given to us by God. 1 Corinthians 2:12

The Holy Spirit has so many things He wants you to KNOW, to have revelation of.
When you possess revelation knowledge, you will begin to receive the things that have been freely given to you by God.
A big part of this is receiving the prayer language of the Holy Spirit and exercising that prayer language.
Come to King of Kings Church this Sunday, and be fed His living Word.
