So much pride seeing q***r people gather at Pride Church Leeds last night.

For many LGBTQ+ people, faith communities have not always felt like places of safety, belonging or acceptance. That’s why spaces like this matter so much. They remind us that no one should have to choose between who they are and what they believe.

It was wonderful to see people celebrating identity, spirituality and community together.

It was another wonderful Pride Church Leeds 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ last night and thank you to all who came along! Huge thanks to Bishop Arun Arora for preaching & presiding at the service.. and being visible in your support! Thanks to all who took part and for the yummy home made cake! 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🙏

Thank you Leeds City Council for this show of solidarity as we held the Vigil for Berlin tonight!

Buildings will be illuminated in rainbow colours this evening in solidarity with a vigil for Berlin, following the recent attack at Berlin Pride.

Leeds has no place for hate. We are a diverse and vibrant city and we want everyone to feel welcome, safe and respected.

Tonight at Pride Church Leeds we remembered the person killed and those injured at Berlin Pride, and stood in solidarity with trans friends frightened by the EHRC’s proposals.
The rainbow over Leeds Minster and the candles lit inside reminded us that we are not alone. Love calls us to oppose hatred and work for the freedom and dignity of LGBTQ+ people, and all people. 🕯️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🌈
