St. Peter's Church, Thorner

St. Peter's Church, Thorner St Peter's is a friendly and welcoming church at the heart of the beautiful village of Thorner.

The present St Peter's was begun in 1502 and the tower was added the following year. The church underwent a number of facelifts over the centuries, although the exterior has changed little since the 1850s. St Peter's offers something for everyone with services every Sunday at 9.15am. At present, the first and third Sunday in the month are communion services, the second Sunday is an "all age" servi

ce and the fourth Sunday is morning worship. For those with young kids, why not try out our Sunday School on Sunday mornings, at 9.15am in the neighbouring Parish Centre? And everyone is welcome to stay for refreshments and socialise after the services. From social events through to choral concerts and Christmas carol signing in the pub, we also put on a range of events throughout the year that everyone in Thorner can enjoy.
