After 5 years of fundraising , work on the Christ Church roof is complete! What a joy to think no rain was seeping in during that downpour we’ve just had! But it’s never been just about the roof - it’s about ensuring our church can remain a community hub and place of worship for those in Armley.
It cost over £200,000 and was raised through grant funding as well as sponsored walks, swims and cycle rides!
A huge thanks to all those who were involved in giving or taking part.
We especially want to thank John and Steve who have helped with all the finances as well our church wardens over the years Bukky, Rob and Isabel.
Also huge thanks to FCC Waste Management, Benefact Trust The National Churches Trust The Yorkshire Historic Churches Trust Congregational Diocese of Leeds, Church of England Give to Go Green scheme for all the grants and support.
