Me & my family checked in Church Festival
2026 on Thursday night. We were looking forward to a weekend of worship, a time of reflection and purely to reset & be restored in His presence.
Friday afternoon an incident took place that we later on learnt that a man had passed on and 6 others were injured due to a signboard falling from strong winds, the whole event was cancelled.
Our children were in the Worship tent when the incident happened, l was with my husband in the tent trying to rest but the winds were strong and l couldn’t settle.
Our prayers & thoughts are with the family that lost their loved one and for the ones who were hurt, praying for speedy recovery.
We continue to pray for the Big Church Festival organisers, volunteers, attendees & everyone affiliated somehow.
Sometimes we cannot understand events that take place and in our lack of understanding, we still look to the Lord.

John 15:4🌟

Remain in Me, and I [will remain] in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself without remaining in the vine, neither can you [bear fruit, producing evidence of your faith] unless you remain in Me.

Some of the ways to remain in God (John 15:7)

🌻Abide in God’s word

Remaining starts with listening to the word of God. Make Scripture your daily bread—not just reading, but meditating on it. Let it correct, comfort, and shape you. When His words dwell in you, your mind is retrained to recognize His voice above the noise.

🌼 Unceasing Prayer (1 Thess. 5:17)

Formal prayer is vital, but also practice the "breath prayer"—short, silent cries throughout your day ("Lord, have mercy"; "Jesus, I trust You"). This turns your life into a continuous conversation, acknowledging your dependence on Him in every moment.

🌻 Repentance & Community

When you drift, return immediately. Repentance is not shame but re-alignment. And remain together—within the Church, confession, and fellowship. Christ is encountered in the "two or three" gathered.

Psalm 27:4

One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.

Serving God is my desire & enquiring from Him is my strength.

Though l may not have some answers right now but l thank God for always bringing me to sit at His feet.

Isaiah 40:31
but those who trust in the LORD
will renew their strength;
they will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not become weary,
they will walk and not faint.

3 weeks ago we witnessed the beautiful traditional wedding of our young sister Dudu & her beloved Mr M. God is good all the time & we are forever grateful to God Almighty to grant us the opportunity to see this God ordained union.

Waiting on God to answer prayers can be daunting & sometimes it feels like a waste of time, but, today l encourage you to trust the process, you’re unique & your journey is unique, wait on God to direct your path. You will eventually have your expected end in due season.
